The team behind placemy.

placemy.cloud is a product of HPT Limited, an Irish private company registered with the CRO under number 559430. We build tools for the people who get handed a cloud bill and asked to make it smaller without breaking anything.

The engine inside placemy began life as a research project: five published test cases, median saving 32.5%, smallest win 19%, biggest 67%. Rather than publish and move on, we built the engine into a tool an engineer can actually run on their own laptop, against their own account, without shipping data anywhere.

The research behind placemy is being presented as an IEEE paper at the 2026 IEEE International Conference in Bristol, UK (September 2026). The paper covers the multi-cloud right-sizing methodology, the P95-based sizing algorithm, and the five measured test cases that produced 24–67% savings on real production workloads.

What we believe

• A cloud recommendation you can't read is worse than no recommendation at all.
• Your cloud data is yours. We never hold it, we never route it through our servers, and we never will.
• Tools should be honest about uncertainty. A 23% saving with a caveat beats a 40% saving that breaks production.
• Three clouds, one command, one report. Cross-cloud is the normal case, not the expensive add-on.
