placemy is a command-line tool. Everything it does, it does from your own machine using your own cloud credentials. The documentation that follows covers the three things you need to know to get a report in under five minutes:

• Getting started — install the tool and activate your licence.
• Bootstrap your cloud — let placemy provision the one bucket it needs to store state, or point it at a bucket you already have.
• Sync & state bucket — understand where scan state lives and how to share it with teammates.

Each article is short on purpose. If the answer is not here, open a ticket from the support page and we will either help you directly or add a new article.

placemy never sends your cloud inventory anywhere. The only network calls out of the tool are the licence check against placemy.cloud/api/licence/validate and (optionally) the release feed for self-update.
